Fowler chosen as new FSA County Executive Director

BOISE -- Dick Rush, Farm Service Agency State Executive Director, recently announced the selection of Julie Fowler as the new County Executive Director (CED) for the Idaho County FSA Office in Grangeville.
"Because of the slow-down in federal hiring, Julie has managed the Grangeville office with very little assistance for almost two years," said Rush. "We are very proud of her."
Fowler has been serving as the acting CED since January 2012 and was chosen by members of the County Office Committee to become the permanent director. She has been with the Idaho County FSA office for seven years. She brings a broad and extensive background and experience with the programs offered by the Farm Service Agency.
She began her career with FSA in 2006. She has been responsible for administering programs such as farm records, automation, compliance, GIS, mapping, payment limitations, Average Crop Revenue Program (ACRE), Direct and County Cyclical programs plus various administrative functions. She was also been active with CRP, price support, NAP and conservation programs.
"In a small office you do it all," she said.
Fowler said she is excited to continue to represent the farmers and ranchers of Idaho County.
