The Thrill Of Victory KAMIAH -- Some of us remember watching "The Wide World Of Sports" on Saturdays. They had a theme at the beginning of the show that talked about the thrill of victory or the agony of defeat. In sports there always seems to be winners and losers, those who experience a thrill or experience agony. It seems there is way too much agony in life and not enough victory. I don't think it is supposed to be that way. God doesn't think it is supposed to be that way either. One of the best statements in the Bible is when Jesus tells us there is an enemy who seeks to steal, kill and destroy from us (Sounds like agony to me) but He (Jesus) came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. Are you as tired as I am of all this agony around us? Are you ready for less agony and more victory? God really does love us. Jesus really did come that we might have abundant life here and eternal life later. God promises to save us, heal us, deliver us, bless us, empower us, give us peace, give us joy and much more! We are going to have nothing but victory in heaven. I encourage you to make arrangements to get there. We are supposed to have some victory in the here and now too. Go ahead, connect with God and get more victory in your life. Go to a great church to learn more or check out the series on our website at www.thelifecenterpcg.org Kelly Lineberry is pastor at The Life Center located in Kamiah. |
