RIGGINS -- The Salmon River Art Guild invites all regional artists, 18 and older, of accepted fine media to enter the 2011 Regional Art Show in Riggins Oct. 7-9 at the Best Western Salmon Rapids Lodge.
Prize money of $1,000 will be awarded in the following categories of any subject matter: oil/acrylic, watercolor/water media, mixed media (pastels, drawing, enhanced photos), sculpture and photography.
All entries accepted 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (MDT) on Friday Oct. 7, and entries will be judged at 5:30 p.m. (MDT). A reception for artists and their families, and members of the Salmon River Art Guild, will begin at 7 p.m. (MDT). The announcement of winners will take place at 7:30 p.m., immediately following is access to the show and critiques with the judges at the Best Western Salmon Rapids Lodge.
The event judges for the show are Mary Bakker of White Bird, and Larry Ferguson of Clarkston, Wash.
The public is invited to view the show at the Best Western Salmon Rapids Lodge on Saturday, Oct. 8, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (MDT) and Sunday, Oct. 9, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. (MDT).
