Obituaries

Steven Currin, 45
   Steven Wayne Currin, 45, died Jan. 15, 2007, in Dallas, Texas, from cardiac arrest. He was born on June 9, 1961, in Cottonwood to Wayne and Virginia (McPherson) Currin. He grew up in Cottonwood and graduated from Prairie High School.
   After leaving Cottonwood, he worked as a chef in Portland, Ore., and later in Texas. He was a kind hearted and gentle man who loved his family very much and was fond of animals.
   Carol M. Mills, 64
   Carol M. Mills, 64, resident of Idaho County, died Jan. 21, 2007, in Mexico from complications due to breast cancer. She was born Aug. 31, 1943, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Samuel Lawrence and Beth Neilson Mills. She was a member of the LDS church.
   She was a graduate of South High School in Salt Lake City and received a B.S. magna cum laude business degree from the University of Utah. She was an avid Utes fan, attending many tournaments and bowl games.
   Delbert Walker, 93
   Delbert Walker, 93, of Grangeville died Jan. 26, 2007, at the Grangeville Health and Rehabilitation Center in Grangeville.
   He was born Oct. 21, 1913, at DeWitt, Neb., a son of Garnett and Grace Lochenhour Walker. He attended school in Nebraska and then graduated from Peru State Teachers College in Peru, Neb., in 1935. He married Alice Madden and they later divorced.
