Reverend Jack Evertt Hall, 77
   Reverend Jack Evertt Hall, 77, of Grangeville, died March 2, 2010, at Syringa Hospital in Grangeville.
   He was born July 20, 1932, in Balmorhea, Texas, to John Drew and Beulah Bell (O'Rear) Hall. He was number six of seven children. The family moved to Yuma, Ariz., in 1936 and then later to California in 1939. In school he loved track and field and dated his wife to be (on a horse). He married Norma Ruth Meadows in Yuma, Ariz., on Sept. 1, 1950. They had three children, Sherry, Daniel and Lynn.
   He loved his calling as a reverend and loved to teach the word of God. He was the pastor at eight churches and co-pastor in numerous other churches including: Pentecostal Church of God, Assemblies of God, and Independent Full Gospel. He also loved to hunt and fish and always teased that he was a "Jack" of all trades and master of none. Most of all he loved his wife, family and preaching and will be greatly missed.
   He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma; his son, Daniel Drew Hall; and his sisters, Audrey Hunt and Vera Powers.
   He is survived by his daughter, Sherry Kinnick of Harpster; his son, Lynn Everett Hall of Yuma, Ariz.; five grandchildren, Kyra Lynn Fugate of Grangeville, Daniel Drake Kinnick of Lewiston, Danya Dawn Daniels of Grangeville, Shannon Lynn Kost of Yuma, Ariz., and Jared Everett Hall of Yuma, Ariz.; fourteen great-grandchildren, Bradan Fugate, Nathan Fugate, Matthew Kinnick, Abagail Kinnick, Hailey Daniels, Dalaney Daniels, Quincey Daniels, Kayla Hall, Kylie Hall, Jonathan Hall, Jordynn Kost, Justice Marshall and Joshua (to be born in August) and Kaden (to be born this month); his sister, Hessie Kurts of Lake Havasu, Arizona; and brothers, J. D. Hall of Yuma, Ariz., Troy Hall, Sr. of Stites, and Joe (Hank) Hall of Jay, Okla.
   Funeral services were held Saturday, March 6, at Trenary Funeral Home Chapel in Kooskia. Pastor Paul Baldwin officiated. Burial was at Harpster Cemetery at Harpster.
   Arrangements were by Trenary Funeral Home of Kooskia.
   Lila Lorraine Hawley Lee, 77
   Lila Lorraine Hawley Lee, 77, died Feb. 23, 2010, at Tri-State Memorial Hospital in Clarkston, Wash. She was born July 12, 1932, in Mount Idaho to George and Bonnie Hawley.
   At about the age of 5 her family and one sister, Donna, moved to Tacoma, Wash., where her dad worked in the ship yards during the war. She started first grade in Tacoma, Wash. They lived in Washington for five or six years. Again the family moved, to Grangeville, Lewiston, Kamiah, and Culdesac.
   She married Don Lee of Kamiah on Oct. 2, 1952, in Lewiston. They lived in Kamiah for awhile, then moved to Troy, Mont., where he logged. They moved back to Idaho where they lived in various places until they built their home in Stites.
   She was a person of many talents, sewing, gardening, drawing and genealogy, and had a great sense of humor. She wrote a weekly column for the local newspaper in 1976 for four years, and also wrote articles for The Idaho County Historical Society.
   She is survived by two sons and their spouses, Alan and Carolyn Lee of Eden, Steven and Diana Lee of Clarkston; one daughter, Sharon Pitcher of Lewiston; one granddaughter and spouse Sarah and Steven Earl of Caldwell; one grandson, Andrew Pitcher of Lewiston; three sisters, Donna and Clarence Johnson of Lewiston, Rhea Maxine Frei of Kamiah, and Eva and Neil Grinolds of Juliaetta; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don, and her parents.
   Services were held March 5 at Brower-Wann Funeral Home. Cremation took place and internment will be held in Grangeville at a later date.
   Lisa Renee Paul, 46
   Lisa Renee Paul, 46, of Grangeville, died Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at her brother's home. She was diagnosed with melanoma bone cancer in September of 2009.
   She was born June 25, 1963, at Grangeville, the daughter of James and Lila Paul. She attended schools at Grangeville, graduating in 1981.
   She had the opportunity to live in many places during her life. She was a secretary in Houston, Texas, after graduating from high school. In 1992, she became a Realtor and worked for Highland Realty in Grangeville. She later moved to Fruitland and worked as a computer technician for Headstart.
   In 2003, she and her girls moved to Coeur d'Alene where she worked as a secretary for Realtor Joe Dobson. They loved Coeur d'Alene, but missed family and returned to Grangeville in 2005 where she returned to work at Highland Realty as an administrative assistant.
   She was proud of her daughters and enjoyed watching Danica cheer games at Lake City and Grangeville high schools and during the last two years she participated in events for Danica's sorority at the University of Idaho. She was always there cheering McKenzie on as she played volleyball and softball. She and her daughters formed a tight bond during their time together.
   She enjoyed snowmobiling and camping and time spent with family at the cabins in Dixie and Elk City. She also enjoyed the annual family vacation in Mexico and the annual "girls trip" with her mom, sisters, aunts and cousins. When her nephews and nieces were younger, her house was the favorite place to be. They were always welcomed and many fun times were had at her home.
   She is survived by Nate Walsingham; her daughters, Danica and McKenzie; her mother and stepfather, Lila and Robert Blewett; her father and stepmother, James and Joyce Paul; her sisters, Sandra (Ed) Aiken, Sonya Simmons (Bryan Davis), Amber (Jeremy) Beeson; and brother, Shane Paul (Sandi Holbrook).
   A celebration of her life is at the Grangeville Christian Church on Friday, March 12, 1 p.m.,with Pastor Harold Gott officiating. At the family's request, in lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Syringa Hospital Hospice or the Grangeville Christian Church building fund.

   Through her life she made many friends, she accepted people as they were, and lived her life to the fullest. We will always remember her beautiful smile and spirit. Though we are saddened by our loss, she would only want us to remember the good times that we shared with her.

   Don W. Spencer, 78
   On Monday, March 1, 2010, Don W. Spencer, 78, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend, died at St. Mary's Hospital in Cottonwood after a long and hard-fought battle with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
   He was born Oct. 16, 1931, at Fenn, to William H. Spencer and Ola Patton. He attended Denver school until it closed, then attended Cottonwood public school and graduated from Cottonwood High School in 1950.
   From 1952-1954, he served as a corporal in the Army, Company C, 844th Battalion an was attached to Air Force engineers on Shemya Island in the Aleutians, where his company built and maintained runways during the Korean War.
   In 1954, on May 29, he married his high school sweetheart, Donna Tacke. They lived in Cottonwood and were blessed with twins, Patrick and Patricia, Cheryl, Joleen and Don, Jr. (Butch).
   While living in Cottonwood, he served on the city council from 1972 to 1977. He was a charter member of the Jaycees and served in many offices. He was a member of St. Mary's Parish and when the new church was built, he spent many hours with others building the lights. He was also a Eucharistic minister for several years and enjoyed helping his wife make rosaries for the missions. His faith was very important to him.
   He loved being a third-generation farmer, so much so that even after he retired, he enjoyed driving around to see what everyone was doing and checking the prairie's crops. He built a home on the family's home place near Fenn in 1985 and served on the Fenn Highway District from 1989 to 1993. He especially loved being with his children and grandchildren. He loved fishing, hunting, camping and playing cards with family and friends.
   He is survived by Donna, his wife of 55 years; daughters, Cheryl and Ben Britton and Joleen and Frank Walsh; son, Butch and Jean Spencer; seven grandchildren, Shawn Britton, Jessica Walsh, Sandi Britton, Pat Walsh, Samantha Spencer, Frank Spencer and Philip Spencer.
   He was preceded in death by his children, Patrick and Patricia Spencer; his parents, William and Ola Spencer; and his only brother, Gene Spencer.
   Services were Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Cottonwood, with the rosary recited and funeral Mass. Burial was at the Cottonwood Catholic Cemetery.
   Memorials may be sent to the Shriners Children's Hospital in Spokane or to a charity of your choice.
   Uhlorn Funeral Home of Cottonwood was in charge of arrangements.
   While he is now at rest, his wife, children and grandchildren are sad and lost without him. He is greatly missed.
