Motorcyclist injured in June 8 crash on US 12
Accident last Saturday; victim transported to CVH
By David Rauzi - editor, ICFP

A Washington state man received unspecified injuries following a motorcycle crash last Saturday, June 8, on U.S. Highway 12.
Matthew D. Nowlin, 44, of Yakima, was transported by Kooskia ambulance to Clearwater Valley Hospital (CVH) in Orofino. CVH does not release patient update information.
The accident was reported at 9:30 a.m. at milepost 107, 32.5 miles east of Kooskia, according to an Idaho County Sheriff's Office report. Nowlin was riding a 2008 Harley-Davidson motorcycle westbound into a left-hand curve when the front tire slid and he laid the bike down. Nowlin and the motorcycle slid across the roadway and onto the right shoulder where the bike struck a large rock and came to a rest, having traveled approximately 121.5 feet. Nowlin was wearing a helmet.
Citations were pending against Nowlin for no proof of insurance (infraction) and driving without privileges (misdemeanor).
Miles Towing provided wrecker services. ICSO Deputy Scott Paulsen investigated the crash.
