Injured motorcyclist in stable condition
By David Rauzi

LOWELL -- A Canadian motorcyclist injured in a one-vehicle crash near Lowell last week was transferred to Seattle on Sunday for further treatment.
William F. Gerein, 69, of Regina, Saskatchewan, was listed in stable condition at Harborview Medical Center as of press time.
Gerein suffered injuries in a crash along U.S. Highway 12, milepost 107.4, reported last Thursday, June 26, at 6:39, p.m., according to Idaho State Police.
Gerein was westbound on a 2003 Honda Cruiser motorcycle when he left the road on the right shoulder and struck a road sign. Emergency personnel were advising caution accessing the scene due to gravel along the roadway, however, this was not confirmed as to whether it was a contributing factor in the crash.
Gerein was transported from the scene by a LifeFlight helicopter to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston. He was wearing a helmet.
ISP Trooper Josh Larsen investigated the crash with assistance from the Idaho County Sheriff's Office. Miles Towing provided wrecker services.
