Bicyclist flown to Spokane following crash
Accident reports
By David Rauzi

GRANGEVILLE - A Grangeville bicyclist is under medical treatment in Spokane after being run over by a car last Thursday, June 25.
Keith Sarbacher, 24, was admitted to Sacred Heart Medical Center in stable condition. Status as of press time was unavailable.
The accident was reported at 10 a.m. at the intersection of East North 2nd and North Meadow streets, according to Grangeville Police Chief Wayne Sedam. Sarbacher was coming down the hill and failed to stop at the signed intersection. The bike skidded for approximately 21 feet before laying on its side. A 2009 Jeep Cherokee driven by Laura Prado, 36, of Grangeville, ran over Sarbacher with the front wheels going over the bicycle and the rear wheels over the victim.
Sarbacher was taken to Syringa Hospital and Clinics and from there transferred by MedStar to Spokane. Sedam and GPD Officer Cheryl Randi investigated the accident.

In an unrelated crash, damages are estimated at more than $1,500 to an Idaho County Sheriff's Office patrol vehicle hit by the deputy's own truck.
The incident was reported at 10:15 a.m. on East North 2nd Street last Thursday, June 25, according to Chief Sedam. A 1978 Ford pickup owned by Deputy Mike Brewster of Grangeville was chained to a stump he was removing. When the stump was cut away the truck and tree remnant went down the hill and struck Brewster's 2007 Chevrolet Impala patrol vehicle.
Truck damages were estimated around $200. No injuries were reported. Officer Cheryl Randi investigated the crash.
   Ã
A California motorist was charged with DUI excessive and possession of marijuana, both misdemeanors following a one-vehicle rollover crash just south of Grangeville last Monday, June 22.
Reported at 8:39 a.m., according to ICSO Deputy Mike Brewster, Steven Clemens, 57, of Penn Valley, was northbound enroute to Moscow at milepost 239.5 when he crossed over into the southbound land and encountered an oncoming semi-truck. He swerved to avoid the truck and lost control of his 2003 Chevrolet pickup hauling a camp trailer.
The pickup truck rolled over, coming to rest on the right-hand shoulder on its wheels facing southbound, and the camp trailer ended on its side.
Clemens was not injured. It was unknown whether he was wearing a seat belt.
Wrecker services were provided by Dale's Rescue Towing of Grangeville.
