'A Photographic History of Idaho County'

Free Press/Lorie Palmer
Grangeville artist Gordon Talley spent the last few weeks working with fourth through sixth graders in the Kaleidoscope after-school program, sponsored by Kids Klub, Inc. Students worked with Talley on printmaking skills including potato prints, dry point etchings, collographs and monotypes. Talley has worked as a professional artist since 1972. He also worked as a commercial illustrator for 10 years. He began teaching art at public schools in 1976. Printmaking became a focus at that time and he established a studio in Grangeville in 1978. Talley is currently featured in galleries in Idaho and California. He works mainly in oil pastels, acrylics and various printmaking styles. Here, Talley runs through the imprinting process with (L-R) Kalela Bass and Maddie McDonald.
