A Well Child Developmental Screening will be provided Sept. 9, 2010, in the Cottonwood School District to all children ages birth to 5. Screening will take place on Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon in the school district office.
Each child's skills will be checked in the areas of speech and language, motor development, basic concepts, social skills, self-help skills, vision and hearing. The children will be asked to participate in play activities which will determine developmental levels. If a weak area is discovered during the screening, a team of school district professionals offers a full developmental assessment.
Screening appointments may be made or further information may be obtained through the Cottonwood Elementary School office at 962-3122.
