Holiday happenings


•The Monastery of St. Gertrude will be host to a Sunday, Dec. 29, Christmas concert at 2 p.m. This will feature the Hattrup Family, Elizabeth Nuxoll, Carletta Allen, and Ben Bross (prelude). Call 962-3224.

•Dec. 31-Jan. 1, the Monastery of St. Gertrude will host a First Night: A New Year’s Reflection. Bring in the New Year with candlelight and bells. Reflect on the past year and your hopes for 2014. Join the Sisters for supper followed by an evening of reflection and prayer. Share in a New Year’s Day Mass and dinner with the Monastic Community. Suggested donation: $110 single/$85 per person shared lodging. Includes all meals. To register, visit or call 962-2000.


•Centennial Evangelical Free Church will host a New Year’s Eve Extravaganza Dec. 31 at 5:30 p.m. This will include a potluck followed by the infamous Talent/No Talent show at about 6:30 p.m.

•Saturday, Jan. 11, Designed 2 Dance will hold its recital, “Gone Country,” at GEMS.


•Pray in the New Year at ALACCA Bible Camp Jan. 1 at noon.


•The Life Center at 4432 US Highway 12, Kamiah will hold New Year’s Eve get-togethers at various homes in the region. Call 935-0362 or check the website for the schedule
