Grant funds system study

RIGGINS – Idaho Department of Environmental Quality has granted a $45,000 drinking water planning grant to the Rapid River Water and Sewer District.

Funds will help prepare a drinking water planning study and environmental information document. The project will be to evaluate the existing water system, including the distribution lines and flow, and possible new storage capacity, and develop alternative plans for needed improvements.

The total eligible cost of the project is $90,000. The remaining $45,000 will be funded by the district.
