Blockage on U.S. Highway 95


Multiple emergency service agencies were on scene two miles north of Riggins at the scene of a single-fatality crash involving a pickup and a semi-truck. The truck impacted the eastbound Cliffside, and the semi-truck and chip trailer ended up over the bank and submerged in the Salmon River.

— Idaho State Police is currently investigating a two-vehicle crash reported Monday morning, Nov. 11, two miles north of Riggins that resulted in one fatality.

The incident was reported around 11:30 a.m. and involved a northbound pickup truck and a southbound semi-truck hauling a chip trailer. The driver of the pickup died in the crash. The semi-truck driver received minor injuries.

U.S. Highway 95 is now clear.
