National Weather Service in Missoula reported that snowfall continues to be the biggest concern with regards to an approaching winter storm.

Snow will begin falling in the Clearwater Mountains (including high valleys) and along the higher elevation portions of the Highway 12 corridor, starting late Friday. Snow will continue to fall, but will then make it down to valley floors Saturday and Sunday. Impacts will be plentiful and will include: slick, icy, and snow covered road surfaces, and low visibility while driving. Cities such as Orofino and Grangeville will see snow beginning Saturday and lasting through Sunday, though light to moderate amounts are anticipated.
