Two treated following Sunday rollover accident on Tolo Lake Road

Speed, road conditions were factors in the crash

— Two people were transported for medical treatment following a rollover accident Sunday afternoon on Tolo Lake Road.

Driver, Kody A. Davis, 19, of Stites, and passenger, Annastacia S. Preston, 16, of Grangeville, were transported to Syringa Hospital in Grangeville with minor injuries. Patient status was unavailable as of press time Tuesday.

Speed and road surface conditions were factors in the crash reported Oct. 20, 12:52 p.m, three miles west of Grangeville at the intersection with Powerline Road, according to an Idaho County Sheriff’s Office (ICSO) report. Davis was driving a 1994 Ford Explorer westbound on Tolo Lake Road when he entered a curve on a dirt/gravel road at a high rate of speed. Davis lost control of the vehicle that then left the roadway, went into a ditch and rolled once, and came to rest against a fence.

Both Davis and Preston were wearing seat belts.

ICSO Deputy Mike Brewster investigated the crash. Syringa Ambulance responded to the scene. Wrecker services were provided by Dale’s Rescue Towing.
