Pre-order FNRA fund-raiser tix: numbers limited

GREENCREEK — The Camas Prairie Friends of NRA annual event will be held at 5:30 p.m. Friday, May 2 at the Greencreek Community Hall.

Camas Prairie Friends of NRA is a chapter of the Friends of NRA, which gives earned money in the form of grants to nonprofit organizations to help promote shooting sports and gun safety.

This past year the Idaho County Sheriff’s office was awarded $1,350 for a shooting safety program; the Jack O’Connor Hunting Heritage and Education Center received $16,798 for a Hunter Education Challenge Program. The past year saw forty grant applications for the $324,000 the Idaho FNRA had to disburse. Organizations from Lewiston to Riggins have benefitted from this program.

“Our committee volunteers will be out asking for underwriting, contributions and local support for this worthy event,” Camas Prairie FNRA secretary said. “Each contributor will be highlighted on a power point display as well as on item cards during the auctions and games because all the support we get is truly appreciated. We will be seeing people from the Camas Prairie to Riggins to Orofino, Kooskia, Kamiah, Nezperce, Craigmont and beyond.”

Tickets are not available at the door and the number available is limited.
