Pictured (top) are the winners of the Art Design Contest sponsored by Idaho County Farm Bureau (L-R) Carson Forsman, Ciara Chaffee and Sydney Bruegeman. Forsman, son of Paul and Carri Forsman, Ferdinand, won first place with his drawing of a harvest scene beside a barn with a garden and a barbed wire fence. He won $50 for his entry. Second place went to Chaffee, daughter of Kevin and Shari Chaffee, Cottonwood, with her drawing of a barn and a pig in the bright sunshine. She received $25 for her drawing. Bruegeman, daughter of Neil and Kristi Bruegeman, Fenn, received third place, drawing a farm scene with lots of animals. She also received $25. All the winners are sixth grade students at Prairie Elementary School, Cottonwood, and Mrs. Cheri Holthaus is their teacher.
Pictured (Left) are winners for the Essay Contest sponsored by Idaho County Farm Bureau who are (L-R) Lane Wassmuth, Claira Osborne and Hope Schwartz. Wassmuth, son of Neil and Susan Wassmuth, Craigmont, won first place with his essay, receiving $50. Second place went to Osborne, daughter of Tim and Janet Osborne, Cottonwood, receiving $25. Schwartz, daughter of Mark and Theresa Schwartz, Ferdinand, was the third-place winner, receiving $25. All are fifth grade students at Summit Academy, Cottonwood, and their teacher is Mrs. Karla Krogh.
