GRANGEVILLE — The Central Idaho Art Association (CIAA) 47th Spring Art Show and Sale, is May 1, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., May 2, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and May 3, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The featured CIAA artists are Roger and Janice Inghram, photographers. Roger and Janice are longtime residents of North Central Idaho. The Inghrams have been using photography to express their interests since the 1960s. Roger began their journey into wildlife photography when he was a lineman for Idaho Electric and Power during his observations of Idaho’s spectacular birdlife. The Inghrams appreciate this area for its abundance of scenic beauty, and wealth of plant, animal and bird life; all are “gifts” to the nature photographer and to anyone who takes the time to look and listen. Their goal in photography is to get that “wow” picture by simply being in the right place at the right time, as nature photography takes a great deal of patience, dedication and luck. Celebrating nature through the art of photography gives great joy, they said, and they hope their images make a difference in how others view the natural world.
The May 2 show includes a CIAA special soiree from 4 to 7 p.m., with complimentary wine and cheese, artist musicians, and silent auction winner announcements. The show is hosted by the Bicentennial Historical Museum located at 305 N. College, Grangeville, and will be held in their basement level gallery.
