KAMIAH – It’s time for the annual free lunch session. Kamiah Barbecue Days are this weekend and will feature the free barbecue Saturday evening.
The weekend starts Friday, Aug. 29, with the art show, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Central Idaho Agency. A spaghetti feed is set for 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the Kamiah Senior Center with the chamber beer garden opening at 5 p.m. Kamiah will take to the football field and face Salmon River at 7 p.m. A teen dance at the Wa-A-Yas will take place from 9 p.m. to midnight.
Saturday, Aug. 30, starts with the chuck wagon breakfast at the CVRA rodeo grounds and will run 7 to 10 a.m. The fun run starts at 8 a.m. and the all-school reunion is at Kamiah Middle School 9 to 10:45 a.m. The art show continues through 4 p.m. and the craft show will run on Idaho Street from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The quilt show will take place at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Main Street parade is set for 11 a.m. KCPS will host youth games and activities at the Wa-A-Yas field from 1 to 8 p.m. The Kamiah Valley Museum is open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The beer garden will be open at noon throughout the day, The chamber auction starts at 2 p.m. and the free barbecue will be held on Idaho Street from 5 to 7 p.m. A street dance with live music is set for downtown 8 p.m. to midnight and a teen dance is again set for the Wa-A-Yas from 9 p.m. to midnight.
Sunday will round out with the Life Center sponsoring an outdoor church service at River Front Park at 10 a.m. The quilt show will also run this day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
