Stroke awareness speaker to address public at SHC Sept. 17

GRANGEVILLE — Syringa Hospital & Clinics is hosting a stroke awareness presentation Wednesday, Sept. 17, 12:15 – 1 p.m., in the Syringa Hospital Northwest Annex conference room. The presentation is open to the public, as well as all Syringa employees and volunteers.

The event will cover the signs and symptoms of stroke presented by David Atkins, PA-C, from the Syringa Primary Care Clinic, and will be a brown bag lunch. Bring a lunch or purchase an inexpensive meal at the hospital Bistro. The Northwest Annex is located below Syringa Hospital’s main floor, and next to Syringa’s Primary Care Clinic. To get to the annex, enter from the parking lot off of Main Street to the Syringa Clinic.

Atkins is a licensed and certified physician assistant who has been practicing at Syringa Primary Care Clinic for the past year.
