Tom and Jerry party is Dec. 5

GRANGEVILLE — The annual Tom and Jerry Party is set for Friday, Dec. 5, at the Elks. Doors will open at 6 p.m. Light sandwich makings will be available starting at 7 p.m. All members and their invited guests are invited to attend. Donations will be accepted for a charitable activity of the Elks.

GHS FFA adopts family

for Christmas

GRANGEVILLE — Grangeville FFA will again “Adopt A Family” for the Christmas season. They began collecting items and money Dec. 1 and will end Dec. 9. This will be a contest between the girls and boys. To donate, call teacher Lyndsey Stephens at 983-0580 or e-mail stephensl@sd244.org.

Bazaar set for SPP

GRANGEVILLE — The Sts. Peter and Paul Christmas Luncheon, Bazaar and Raffle is set for Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 6 and 7.

Kamiah tree lighting is this Friday

KAMIAH – Friday, Dec 5, is the Christmas Lighted Parade downtown. A children’s flashlight and a main parade will take place at the same time, 6 p.m. The Kamiah High School choir will be singing.

American Legion dinner is Dec. 6

GRANGEVILLE — The Grangeville American Legion Post 37 and Auxiliary is hosting a Christmas party for all community veterans and their families Dec. 6, 6-8 p.m., at the Eagles Lodge. Members are asked to bring either a salad or dessert to share. Ham, turkey and all the trimmings as well as beverages and place settings will be provided by the Legion. GEMS concert is Dec. 8

GRANGEVILLE — The Grangeville Elementary Middle School K-5 concert is set for Monday, Dec. 8, 6 p.m., in the gym. This program is under the direction of Debbie Lusby.

Breakfast with Santa at

the Nazarene Church is Dec. 13

GRANGEVILLE — Kids and their families are invited to have breakfast and photos with Santa Saturday, Dec. 13, 10 a.m. to noon, at the Grangeville Church of the Nazarene.

Kooskia tree lighting set

for this Friday

KOOSKIA — The annual Kooskia parade and tree lighting is set for Dec. 5. This starts at 2 p.m. in the city park where Santa will be for pictures with kids. Valley Bible Church will also offer crafts in the park. The Clearwater Valley High School choir will carol on Main Street beginning at 3 p.m. The parade line-up starts at 3:30 p.m. and will start at 4 p.m. Call 926-4643 for information.

CVJSHS concert is Dec. 10

KOOSKIA — The Clearwater Valley Junior Senior High School Winter Concert is set for Wednesday, Dec. 10, 7 p.m., in the high school cafeteria.

Kids’ Christmas Sale to

be held Dec. 13

GRANGEVILLE — The annual Kids’ Christmas Sale at the Eagles Hall on C Street will be held Dec. 13, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Children are invited to shop for their families. To donate items to the event call Shirley Crane at 983-2075.

Lunch with Santa is Dec. 13

GRANGEVILLE – Enjoy a no-host lunch with Santa Claus Saturday, Dec. 13, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at The Gallery.

Hospice program is Dec. 14

GRANGEVILLE — Syringa Hospice Tree of Lights program is set for Sunday, Dec. 14, 2 p.m., at the Soltman Center. To request an ornament made in memory of a loved one call 926-4424.

Kooskia’s Umpqua collecting food

KOOSKIA — Umpqua Bank will be accepting donations to the Kooskia Food Bank through Dec. 31. All non-perishable items will be accepted as well as cash or checks. Drop off donations between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the bank on Main Street.

Riggins tree lighting set for Dec. 6

RIGGINS — The First Community Tree Lighting ceremony will be held Saturday, Dec. 6, 7 p.m., at Two Rivers Coffee on Main Street across from the Riggins Motel. There will be free cookies and hot drinks, caroling, and Santa will be there, too.

Stites tree lighting is Dec. 5

STITES — The annual Stites tree lighting ceremony is set for Dec. 5, 5:30 p.m., at city hall.

White Bird Christmas parade

set for Dec. 13
