Officer Wes Walters was able to visit my kindergarten/first grade class. He discussed how his primary job is keeping people in the community safe, and then he answered the numerous inquiries of the students’ intrigued minds. Officer Walters brought along with him his police dog, Tazer. The students were overwhelmed with excitement as he described the skills Tazer has that help people. The visit ended with the children getting to pet their new furry friend and waving kindly to Officer Walters. We appreciate the police department and their effort to build a positive rapport with our young community members. You truly made an impact on these young minds. Many of those students want to grow up to be police officers now.
