WHITE BIRD — Thank you, Jessica Robinson, for all of your energy and time in creating a Christmas program for our community. There was a good turnout and one more reason for all of us to join under the same roof, which is always a good thing.

I’m writing with a heavy heart this morning. My pa, Neal Dewitt, died last Friday. As I sit here at my computer, I guess it’s all still too fresh, because I’m lost for words. I just wanted to tell you all, that as of now, there will be no services. Maybe in the spring we could all have a campout at Pittsburg Landing or something in his honor. He used to love our weekends on the Snake River, just hanging out around the campfire, drinking beer and listening to music. Thank you everyone for your kind words and prayers.

Canyon House will have a last-minute sale today, so if you are that person, like me, who waits until the last minute, come on up to Canyon House and we’ll give you a good deal. The last sale we had, Cassie Chandler won the door prize!

I wish everyone a Merry Christmas. Don’t forget about the New Year’s Eve dinner and dance at Hoot’s, and Mac’s is going to try to have a party, too.

The cribbage tournament last Saturday brought in 16 players. Dot got first and Carolynn got second. Join in next Saturday at 2 p.m., at the Silver Dollar.

Happy birthday this week to: Jesus, Kaci Yoakum, Carolyn Wood, Brooke Hendren, Terry Eller, Sara Dalgliesh, Tom Parr, Rick Alley, Amber Farmer, Phil Talley, Richard Galberth, Tonya Cullin, Rachel Franzen, Conner West, Jack Bailey, Kallie and Katie Buss, Shaylon Lyon, Maryann Carlin, Chad Montgomery and Michelle Dobbs.
