Parish dinner set for Feb. 9

KEUTERVILLE — Keuterville Hall is again the site for the St. Mary’s/Holy Cross parish dinner set for Sunday, Feb. 9.

The dinner will start serving at 11 a.m. and will run until 4 p.m. This year’s meal consists of roast beef, ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, salad, fruit, and dinner rolls with dessert. Cost for the meal is $9 for adults, $4 for grades one through six, while kindergarten and younger are free.

Bingo will be played all day long. The raffle drawing which features prizes donated by local businesses and parishioners will be held at 4 p.m.

Encouragers to meet Feb. 6

GRANGEVILLE — Zareena Shinn will speak to Encouragers Thursday, Feb. 6, 11:30 a.m., at their monthly no-host luncheon at Oscar’s Restaurant.

Shinn will share about trusting God while living with the physical and relational challenges of chronic illness. Shinn, her spouse and pre-teen daughter moved to the area in 2013 and live in Slate Creek, where her husband works for the U.S. Forest Service. She attends the local Evangelical Free Church.

Activities set for Faith Lutheran Church

KAMIAH – Faith Lutheran Church in Kamiah has a variety of activities set. These include worship services each Sunday at 10 a.m. followed by refreshments and social time. Installation of officers will be held Feb. 5 during the services.

The adult evening Bible study meets each Tuesday at the church. Week Bible studies are each Thursday with men meeting at 7 a.m. at the bakery and women at 10 a.m. at the church. Stitches and More meets the first and third Wednesdays at 10 a.m. at the church which is Feb. 5 and 19 this month.

The annual Lutheran Sweethearts Breakfast is set for Thursday, Feb. 13, 8 a.m., at the bakery.

The monthly community lunch for Emergency Feeding Outreach will be prepared and served by Faith Lutheran members but will be served at the Presbyterian Church at 620 7th Street, 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Women invited to study

GRANGEVILLE – The Centennial Evangelical Free Church will sponsor a “Going Deeper” woman’s group on dependence and surrender starting Saturday, Feb. 15, 9 to 11 a.m., at the church at 408 N. College.
