Key named Central Idaho League MVP; Anderson "coach of the year"

— Named all-Central Idaho League during the 2A District II tournament games Wednesday night were MVP Chantel Key of Grangeville and three more Bulldogs: Hailey Sullivan, Madison Brown, and Kaleala Bass. Also recognized were Sarah Haman (Coeur d'Alene Charter), Kelsey Auer (St. Maries), Jacklyn Jensen (Charter), Kirstin Auer (St. Maries) and Jordan Howell (Orofino). Grangeville coach Larson Anderson was named CIL "coach of the year."

Later in the evening, Grangeville defeated St. Maries by a 61-44 final score; the Bulldogs will play for the district championship and a state tournament berth at 6 p.m. Friday night, Feb. 14.
