LCSC offers fly tying, disc golf

Two course offerings this semester through the local Lewis-Clark State College office may interest sports enthusiasts.

Intermediate Fly Tying, taught by Phil Jahn, Feb. 18-27: This course goes beyond the basics of fly tying by offering four sessions featuring techniques for popular steelhead flies, bass and panfish poppers, terrestrial imitations and other effective patterns.

Students are expected to have some knowledge of fly tying and must have their own tools and equipment. $60 including materials. Register by Feb. 11.

Classes will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:30-8 p.m. at GEMS.

Beginner Disc Golf — taught by Kevin Asker, May 28-29. Students will learn how to play on the new disc golf course at Lions Park. $15.

May 28 meeting will be at GEMS, 6-8 p.m. May 29 will be 5:30-8 p.m. at Lions Park.
