Community Briefs: Dinner fund-raiser set for Jan. 31

GRANGEVILLE – A Community Garden Dinner and Silent Auction is set for Friday, Jan. 31, 5 to 8 p.m., at The Gallery. Cost is $12.95 for a dinner of shepherd’s pie, green salad and bread. A no-host bar will be available and $1 from each dinner served as well as all tips will benefit the community garden.

Valentine banquet to benefit Cristo Vive

GRANGEVILLE — Mark your calendars for a Valentine’s banquet at the Senior Citizen Center in Grangeville featuring the Idaho County Orchestra. This is set for Saturday, Feb. 8, 6 p.m. Cost of tickets is $15 each. Call Janice at 983-9257 for reservations. The evening is a fund-raiser for Cristo Vive special needs camp.

IEP class set for Jan. 31

GRANGEVILLE – Idaho Parents Unlimited will present a “Success with the IEP” class Friday, Jan. 31, 3 to 4:30 p.m., at Children’s Mental Health in Grangeville, 216 South C Street (Health and Welfare/Camas Resource Center).

A side session for youth will be offered during the IEP (Individualized Education Program) training. Pizza will be provided.

PHS to put on ‘Pirates of Penzance ’

COTTONWOOD – Prairie High School’s drama and music departments will put on the Gilbert and Sullivan musical “Pirates of Penzance” Tuesday, Feb. 11, 7 p.m., in the PHS gym.

Noah Reiger stars as the Major General with A.J. Everson as the Pirate King and Stellina Laurino as the beautiful Mabel, daughter of the Major General.

Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for students.

‘Sexy Marriage Nights ’ set for February

Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and The Life Center in Kamiah is offering its “Sexy Marriage Night” in two locations and on two different weekends this year.

The first night is Feb. 8 at the Red Lion in Lewiston and the second night is Feb. 15 at The Life Center between Kamiah and Kooskia.

Cost is $50 per couple. This includes dinner, a marriage book, humor and much more. Cutoff dates for reservations are Feb. 4 for Lewiston and Feb. 9 for Kamiah. Both events begin at 6 p.m. For reservations call Kari Lineberry at 791-7774 or e-mail at
