Local favorite to perform at park: Josh Crosby Band to take stage Thursday

GRANGEVILLE — The first two weeks Grangeville Summer Concert Series have come and gone with large crowds gathering in Pioneer Park each week.

“We would like to thank local businesses, community members and concert-goers for their continued financial support of this great event,” said Rachel Young of Grangeville Arts, Inc.

This Thursday, July 24, Idaho County favorite Joshua Crosby of Kooskia and his band will perform at Pioneer (City) Park at 6 p.m.

“We’re happy to offer Josh Crosby and his band who are very popular in Idaho County and beyond,” added Young.

Crosby has spent time in Nashville, following learning guitar basics from a hometown friend at age 15. He went on to develop his singing capabilities and now performs country originals describing life’s experiences. He has released several albums, beginning with “Simply Me,” recorded about 12 years ago.

The band includes Andrea McHoney of Kamiah who provides back-up vocals; David Dixon of Grangeville on drums; Tom Simpson of Harpster on bass; and Jonny Henderson of Woodland on the harmonica.

The concert series is sponsored by Grangeville Chamber of Commerce and Grangeville Arts, Inc. Performances are free to the public; however, donations are accepted for all performances to help offset costs. All are invited to attend, bring chairs and picnic.
