Teens injured in Sunday rollover crash at Kooskia

KOOSKIA – Two teens were transported for medical evaluation following a rollover accident Sunday morning near Kooskia.

Paige M. Bullock, 18, of Lapwai, and Samantha L. Krieger, 16, residency unavailable, were transported by Kamiah Ambulance to Clearwater Valley Hospital (CVH) in Orofino. CVH does not release patient status information.

The incident was reported at 2 a.m. on July 20 nearly four miles west of Kooskia on Ridgewood Road, according to an Idaho County Sheriff’s Office (ICSO) report. Bullock was driving a 1997 Plymouth Voyager westbound and was unable to negotiate a left-hand curve, at which point she drove off the road and the van rolled 10 feet down the hill onto its top.

Two other passengers – Gage C. Frizzell, 15, and Shaylee Bashaw, 16, both residencies unknown — were in the vehicle; however, they were not transported for medical attention. All four vehicle occupants were wearing seat belts.

Speed too fast for conditions was cited as a factor in the crash. Citations are pending against Bullock for driving without privileges and minor in consumption; during a law enforcement sobriety test, no clues of intoxication were found with Bullock, according to the report.

ICSO Deputy Randy Long investigated the crash. Jackson’s Wrecking provided towing services.
