Pastor’s View: Let Jesus be a world changer

KAMIAH — There are a few events or inventions in each generation that are truly world changers. To affect your family is one thing, to affect your neighborhood or city is another thing, but to affect the world is another thing altogether. In our generation the computer has been a world changer. Some still resist this but resistance is futile. The computer is here to stay, deal with it!

Jesus’ advent was a world changer. The world has never been the same and it never will be. Jesus came, He loved, He showed us the true heart of God by healing people, accepting people, encouraging people and involving people in His mission. He loved us and sacrificed Himself for our forgiveness and eternal life. When we accept Jesus into our life it is a world changer for us. Our life will never be the same. He powerfully affects us now but the best change will be when we receive eternal life. Eternity where there is no more sorrow, pain, tears or death will be so amazing!

Jesus is here to stay and He is a world changer. Why not let Him change your world today? And BTW, don’t just settle for a little bit of Jesus, go all the way! Receive everything He has for you. We don’t need just a little difference in our lives, we need Jesus to make our whole world different.

Kelly Lineberry is pastor of The Life Center in Kamiah.
