Hells Canyon boat launch rebuild funded

BAKER CITY, Ore. – Hells Canyon National Recreation Area received $62,000 from the Oregon State Marine Board this month to start planning reconstruction of the Hells Canyon Creek Boat Dock and Ramp on the Wild and Scenic Snake River.

This facility is located about one mile below Hells Canyon Dam at the end of Forest Road 3810.

In March 2012, a rain-on-snow flood event damaged the parking area, picnic shelter, boat dock, and ramp.
