CVRA parade, rodeo set June 21-22 in Kamiah

KAMIAH — The Clearwater Valley Roundup Association (CVRA) will host the 51st annual Kamiah rodeo June 21-22.

This year’s rodeo will feature a new main event, ranch bronc riding, sanctioned by the Western States Ranch Riding Association. Other main events are sanctioned by the Idaho Cowboy’s Association (ICA). Contestants should contact ICA at or call 845-2051 to enter all main events. ICA books will be open Monday, June 9, 10 am to 5 pm MDT. Entries for local events (4-County Wool Riding, Junior Steer Riding, local girls’ barrels, local team roping, and break-away roping) open June 16-18, 3-9 p.m. PDT. Call Jody Brown at 935-5821 to enter. Local events are for non-card holders within a 100-mile radius of Kamiah and no late entries will be accepted for the local events.

Along with the rodeo, CVRA is also hosting the Spurs and Spokes Main Street Parade on Saturday, June 21, at 3 p.m., in Kamiah. Parade entry forms can be found at Parade entries must be received no later than June 16.
