Grangeville’s Hailey Sullivan beat McCall’s Lexi Tinney off the dribble and fought through this foul to make a short-range basket late in the Bulldogs’ 50-41 victory over McCall last Thursday night, Nov. 20, at GHS. McCall closed within four points, 43-39, on Tinney’s fastbreak layup with 2:22 left in the contest, but Kalela Bass (10 points, not pictured) and Sullivan (6 points) kept Grangeville ahead with free throws. Madison Brown (42) scored 13 including one of the four three-pointers GHS used to build a 30-17 first half lead.

Grangeville vs Lapwai

Earlier in the week, during Grangeville’s Nov. 18 season opener, Lapwai’s press defense forced turnover after turnover; the Wildcats ran off a 67-36 victory. Grangeville breaks for Thanksgiving this week; GHS has road games Dec. 2 at Cascade and Dec. 5 at Colton leading up to the annual Idaho County Shootout, Dec. 12 at GHS.
