Kamiah tree lighting set for Dec. 5

KAMIAH —The Kamiah Chamber of Commerce will sponsor its annual Lighte

Town tree lightings

Additional town tree lightings are as follows:

•Grangeville: Saturday, Nov. 29, 5 p.m., Pioneer Park

•Cottonwood Christmas parade Sunday, Dec. 14, 4 p.m.

•Kooskia parade and tree lighting, Friday, Dec. 5, 2 p.m.

•Riggins tree lighting, Saturday, Dec. 6, 7 p.m., Main Street

•Stites tree lighting, Friday, Dec. 5, 5:30 p.m., city hall

•White Bird lighted Christmas parade, Saturday, Dec. 13, 6:30 p.m.

d Float Parade Friday, Dec. 5.

Parade lineup is 5:30 p.m., at the Kamiah football field parking lot and the parade begins at 6 p.m. For details contact the Kamiah Chamber at 935-2290.

The children’s flashlight serpentine parade lineup is set for 5:45 p.m., on 4th Street at the American Legion Hall with Terri Musgrave. This will precede the main parade at 6 p.m. Children should dress warmly and bring their own flashlights.

Businesses are asked to decorate and leave Christmas lights on during the parade. Street lights will be turned off during the parade.

Judging will take place during the parade. The night will include an inspirational message, Christmas carols, the singing of the National Anthem and singing of “God Bless America” by the Kamiah High School Choir and a visit from Santa.
