Dominican sisters to offer seminar

GRANGEVILLE — Signposts for Heaven: The Role of Religious is a seminar set for Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Parish Thursday, Nov. 6, 7:15-9 p,m.

Join Sister John Thomas and Sister Mara Grace of the Nashville, Tenn., based Dominican Sisters of Saint Cecilia for an evening retreat on the consecrated life as a signpost to heaven.

The evening will include a conference and an opportunity for questions and answers and conclude with Compline, the night prayer of the Universal Church.

Sister John Thomas grew up on a farm in Kansas. After graduating from college and working for a year, she entered the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia in 2002. She has taught in Greenville, S.C.,, and is currently assisting in the vocation office and the novitiate for the community.

Sister Mara Grace grew up in Lexington, Ken. After two years of college, she entered the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia in 2006. She has taught in Nashville, Tenn.,, and Denver, Colo.,, and is currently assisting in the vocation office and in the liturgy office for the community.

Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church is located at 625 Lake Street, Grangeville.
