Art guild announces fall show winners



RIGGINS — Salmon River Art Guild held its fall art show Oct. 4-6.

Winners in the 50th regional art show are as follows:

Best of show: “Shooting the Breeze” by Kaye York of Cambridge, Opal Carlson Memorial Landscape Award: “Colter Bay” by Gloria Teats of White Bird, Oil/Acrylic 1st place: “Rail Fence” Gloria Teats of White Bird, 2nd place: “The Boss” by Kaye York of Cambridge, 3rd place: “Rest in Peace” by Leah Harvey of White Bird. Watercolor/Water Media 1st place: “Southfork North of Harpster” by Marliene O’Neill of Clearwater, 2nd place: “Where’s the Bathroom” by John Kirkland of Asotin, 3rd place: “Onion Basket” by John Kirkland of Asotin, Sculpture 1st place: “God Remains” by Erik Miller of New Meadows, 2nd place: “Translator” by Erik Miller of New Meadows, 3rd place: “Idaho Big 4” by Sheri Medley of Riggins. Photography Landscape: 1st place: “Another Storm” by Frank Mignerey of Riggins, 2nd place: “A Glimpse into Paradise” by David Martin of Clearwater, 3rd place: “Smoke and Mirrors” by David Martin of Clearwater. Photography Portrait & Floral: 1st place: “Gazing into Forever” by David Martin of Clearwater, 2nd place: “Rattle Snake” by Austin Strader of Riggins, 3rd place: “Bald Eagle” by Roger Ingraham of Grangeville. Other (Pastel, Drawing, Etc.): 1st place: “67 Mt Vernon St, Boston” by Kevin Cahill of Boise, 2nd place: “Timmy” by Mary Bakker of White Bird, 3rd place: “Captain” by Anna Owsiak of Cambridge.

Marla Krigbaum of New Meadows was the judge for the show.
