Grangeville Senior Citizens

The Oct. 14 meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance led by Stanley Modrell and the prayer by Shirley Crane. The free dinner came to Eileen Hazelbaker. There were 57 meals and 40 takeout meals served.

The nickel pot was won by Dolores Kindall and blackout winner was Pat Knight. The Oct. 17 meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance led by Stanley Modrell and the prayer by Jim Myers. Guests were the Old Time Fiddlers, George Perry and Nancy Kure. The free dinner came to Donna Wadley. There were 86 meals and 34 takeout meals served.

The nickel pot and blackout winner was Jeannette Chelini.

The menu for Oct. 24: pulled pork sandwich, baked beans, steamed carrots, fruit salad, dessert; Oct. 27: Mexican chicken chef salad, cantaloupe, corn bread and dessert.

Cottonwood Senior Citizens

Agnes Hill opened the Oct. 14 meeting of the Pioneer Senior Citizens with the Pledge of Allegiance and also led the dinner prayer. There was one guest this week, Sunny Dahler from Grangeville. There were 43 meals served with 15 takeouts. Marianne Wren won the free dinner.

Wilma Wassmuth won the nickel bingo pot while Judy Arledge and Dolores VonBargen split the blackout. Door prize winners were Sunny Dahler, Ron Sonnen, Irene Terhaar, Ralph Sprute, Katie Remacle and Isabelle Kaschmitter.

Menu for Oct. 28: Halloween, sweet and sour meatballs, rice, peas, fruit salad, rolls.

Kiwanis meet in Grangeville

Area residents are invited to join the Grangeville Kiwanis and help make Grangeville a better place to live. Grangeville Kiwanis Club meets the second and fourth Thursdays of the month at noon at The Gallery.
