GRANGEVILLE – As Winnie the Pooh so aptly stated, “If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together, keep me in your heart, I’ll stay there forever.”

Syringa Hospice will again help area residents remember their loved ones at the annual Tree of Lights ceremony Sunday, Dec. 14, 2 p.m., at the Soltman Center.

“We will have special music and poems and people who read the names of remembered loved ones,” said hospice volunteer Charlene Funkhouser.

A group of about 20 ladies has been working on ornaments for the annual event. This year they are wrapping small-mouth canning rings with sparkly pipecleaners to create mini-wreathes that will bear the names of those to be honored.

Donations, the name of loved ones and who to send the ornament to or who will pick it up can be sent to Syringa Hospice, 607 West Main Street, Grangeville, ID 83530, by Dec. 1.
