USFS head, Brazell, to step down

KAMIAH – The Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests confirmed a new forest supervisor will soon step in for retiring forest supervisor Rick Brazell. Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest deputy supervisor Cheryl Probert will shadow Brazell during the transition and is scheduled to report Nov. 17.

As part of the leadership change, acting deputy forest supervisor Ralph Rau will get a new title; he’ll be the Nez Perce-Clearwater’s deputy forest supervisor.

As of press time, the Nez Perce-Clearwater was preparing to announce more details on Monday, Nov. 3.
