Cottonwood Senior Citizens

Agnes Forsman opened the Aug. 26 meeting of the Pioneer Senior Citizens with the Pledge of Allegiance and Larry Clark led the dinner prayer. Guests this week were Theresa Funke’s daughter, Diane; Glenda Scott, sister of Donna Barnett; and Darlene Schober Cox and her daughter, Dolores, both from Texas. There were 42 meals served this week with 12 takeouts. Ingrid Mader won the free dinner.

Joke tellers this week were Donna Barnett, Dolores Seubert and Barbara Rehder.

Katie Remacle won the nickel bingo pot while Donna Barnett won the blackout. Door prize winners were Vera Holthaus, Jim Beckman, Mel Willis, Diane Schultz, Isabelle Kaschmitter and Ivan Nuxoll.

Menu for Sept. 9: pasta beef and tomato casserole, squash, green salad, pears and cookies.
