Due to public request, the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forest is extending the scoping comment period on the proposed action for Forest Plan Revision for an additional 60 days.
Deadline for public comment is now Nov. 14.
Forest Supervisor Rick Brazell noted, “We’ve received requests for an extension from a number of people and we want to make sure the public has ample time to understand the proposed action and share their comments with us. The Forest Plan will guide management on the Forest for 10 to 15 years. We value and encourage public input to help shape the future of your national forest.”
According to Brazell, comments submitted prior to the November deadline will be the most useful in the development of alternatives.
The proposed action is available on the Forest’s website at http://www.fs.usda.gov/nezperceclearwater; follow the links for Forest Plan Revision. Hard copies of the proposed action are available by contacting 935-2513 or via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
