“I was really pleased with the performance of our runners for our first meet of the year,” GHS coach Les Loeber said. “Emily Kaschmitter highlighted our girls...running her best race of her career.”
She was followed by Kaleala Bass (eighth, 23:37) and Delayne VanGuntan (17th, 20:33).
On the boys side, Diego Barela placed sixth (16:27) followed by Ethan Bonn (19th, 20:46), Ryan Ruklic (21st, 21:17) and Ammon Dewey (29th, 24:24).
“Diego Barela ran a great race...running the best time of his career,” Loeber said. “I was really happy with the way our freshman ran in their first race in high school.”
