Prairie’s Kristin Uhlenkott played effectively in all phases of Prairie’s win last Thursday night, Sept. 4 at Grangeville. Uhlenkott’s potent jump-serve produced 10 aces, but her passing and hitting were also sharp. But the same could be said of several other Pirates on a night they bested the Bulldogs in straight sets (25-7, 25-13, 25-16). Earlier in the week, PHS won at Lapwai (25-19, 22-25, 14-25, 25-20, 15-10).

Prairie (2-0 overall, 1-0 league) played at Clearwater Valley after the Sept. 9 print deadline and is set to play at Potlatch Sept. 11 and at Genesee Sept. 16.
