KOOSKIA/KAMIAH — Clearwater- Elk City Wagon Road committee will meet Saturday, April 4, at 11 a.m. in the Grange Hall in Clearwater. The creative, crafty old ladies at Creative Sprit have been real busy. When the health food store moved out of the Mini Mall in Kamiah, where their store is located, they decided that they should take over that space and do something that has never been done before, well at least not in Kamiah, and benefit the entire community. This weekend will be the grand opening of their expanded facility. New business is a member owned co-operative which includes their gift shop, a sandwich shop, espresso, green drink, smoothie, healthy tea and coffee bar, fresh vegetables, and more than 210 different dried herbs, spices and bulk foods, vitamins and supplements and an apothecary set up with wild crafted and organic herbs for customers to make their own supplements. There is a child-friendly area for children to color and play while parents enjoy their sandwiches, drinks and quiet time. Their event room is available for use by the members and community. This summer they will sponsor a Farmers’ Market — great food, great conversation, and the best service in town. This is why they call them the “Crafty Old Ladies.” For information of what is happening, call 935-7541, or better yet, go see for yourself at the Clearwater Valley Market Co-Operative, 411 Main Street in Kamiah, across the street from the post office.
