Service, breakfast set for Mt. Shadows Baptist

GRANGEVILLE — A Good Friday service will be held at Mountain Shadows Baptist Church at 7 p.m.

An Easter morning breakfast will be served from 8:30-9:15 p.m. with a resurrection celebration at 9:30 a.m.

Mountain Shadows is located at the corner of 2nd and North C streets, across from the Eagle Hall. Everyone is invited.

Nazarene service set for Easter; men’s breakfast scheduled for Saturday

GRANGEVILLE — Grangeville Church of the Nazarene, 515 W. N. 2nd Street, will host its Easter Sunday service April 5, 9 a.m., with a performance by the church choir, and an Easter egg hunt for the kids immediately following the service.

Men’s breakfast will be held at the church Saturday, April 4, 7 a.m. Tom Reilly will be giving his testimony. All men are encouraged to attend.

Assembly of God to host Easter potluck, services

RIGGINS — The Riggins Assembly of God Church will have its Easter potluck breakfast Sunday, April 5, beginning at 8:30 a.m., with Sunday school at 9:30 a.m., and regular church service at 10:45 a.m.

Holy Trinity Episcopal to host services, brunch

GRANGEVILLE — Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 311 Hall Street, will host a Good Friday service at 4 p.m., on April 3 p.m., and an Easter Sunday service April 5 at 10 a.m., followed by an Easter brunch.

Cottonwood Baptist church sunrise service is April 5

COTTONWOOD — Emmanuel Baptist Church (404 Foster, Cottonwood) will be having an Easter Sunrise Service on Sunday, April 5, 6 a.m. The choir will perform “He’s Alive.” Following the service, breakfast will be provided. All are welcome.

Easter services scheduled for Trinity Lutheran

GRANGEVILLE — Trinity Lutheran Church on Grangeville’s Mill Street will host several services and activities for Easter.

A Maundy Thursday worship service is set for April 2, 7 p.m., which commemorates the Passover (Last Supper) meal of Jesus with his disciples.

Friday, April 3, 7 p.m., a Good Friday worship service is set.

On Easter Sunday, April 5, a 6:30 a.m. Easter Sunrise service will be held followed by Easter breakfast from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. and Easter worship service at 9:30 a.m.

Easter services on tap for Christian church

GRANGEVILLE — Grangeville Christian Church, 402 W S First Street, will host a variety of Easter services.

A Maundy Thursday service is set for Thursday, April 2, 7 p.m.

A Good Friday service will be held at noon Friday, April 3.

An Easter sunrise service is set for Easter Sunday, April 5, 6 a.m. Call 983-2549 for directions. Easter service will be held at the church at 10 a.m.

Steelhead Inn to host Easter sunrise service

RIGGINS — Salmon River Community Church will have its third annual Easter Sunrise Service at the Steelhead Inn, hosted by Ken and Nancy Brown, Sunday April 5. Service starts at 8 a.m. with a light breakfast/fellowship to follow. Everyone is invited to attend. Bring a chair, wear a coat, bring a blanket, and enjoy an early morning together with song and service. Regular services will be held at 11a.m., at the church. An Easter potluck dinner will be held in the fellowship room following Easter services.

Kennedy to speak at Christian Reformed Church

GRANGEVILLE — Grangeville’s Christian Reformed Church will host Mark Kennedy with Open Air Campaigners Sunday, April 12, during its morning service. The community is invited to attend.

Using the sketchboard, Kennedy goes into the public square to bring the Gospel. He and his family are serving in the north Idaho/Eastern Washington area, establishing a new branch of Open Air Campaigners. He does outreaches on college campuses, leads kids Bible clubs in local neighborhoods, trains church teams, works with the Union Gospel Mission, and is involved in many other community events. He and his wife, Angela, have been full-time missionaries with OAC since 2004 serving in Baltimore, as directors at ALACCA Bible Camp in Harpster, and now in Coeur d’Alene-Spokane area. All are welcome. Refreshments will be served following the service.

Kids’ Saturday morning fun slated for April 4

GRANGEVILLE — Saturday, April 4, 10 a.m. to noon, Hope Center in Grangeville will be hosting a Kids’ Program.

Join in for a time of storytelling, crafts, movie and refreshments. The children of the community are welcome to join in. Parents can drop off children.

Easter sunrise service scheduled at Hog’s Back

WOODLAND — The Upper Clearwater Ministerial Association and many area churches will be meeting at 6:30 a.m. Sunday, April 5, Easter, at the Hog’s Back up Woodland Road. This yearly Easter event is a highlight for many. There will be congregational singing, scripture reading, poetry and a great message from one of the area ministers. Everyone is welcome and invited, rain or shine.

Pleasant View Baptist to hold Easter worship services

WHITE BIRD — White Bird’s Pleasant View Baptist Church will hold its annual Easter Sunrise Service at 7 a.m. this coming Easter Sunday morning, April 5. All are welcome to attend and are also welcome to join for breakfast immediately following in the PVBC fellowship hall. Worship service that morning is at 9 a.m. Children’s church will be provided in mid-service for young children.

Barella serving mission

GRANGEVILLE — Xavier Barella, 2014 Grangeville High School graduate, entered the Argentina Mission Training Center Feb. 26 for a 24-month mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Uruguay Montevideo West Mission.

His parents are Steve and Bridgett Barella of Grangeville. He is a member of the Grangeville Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Good Friday, Easter Sunday Services scheduled for Christian Reformed Church

GRANGEVILLE — On Friday, April 3, 7 p.m., Grangeville Christian Reformed Church invites the community to join them for their Good Friday service. Easter Sunday service will begin at 10 a.m. with all welcome. Join after the service for refreshments, as well.

Real Life Grangeville holds Easter celebration

GRANGEVILLE — Real Life Grangeville will hold an Easter celebration on Sunday, April 5, 11 a.m., at the church located to the east side of The Gym off East Main Street/State Highway 13. For information, 962-1135.
