The Lowell sign reflects some changes (or at least one change) in the town.

LOWELL/SYRINGA — Big project finished up last week, the Lowell sign on Highway 12 has been spruced up and rehung by Victor and Cindy Williams. Dave Shindel, Steve and Ann Ryan and Rick and Stephanie Moore also worked on the project. Thanks go out to everyone who helped get the sign back to its original glory. We hung it up about 30 years ago, when we formed the Lowell/Syringa Chamber!

Alan and Mary Hamilton from AIRE were up boating last weekend with Hal Rodgers; let the season begin. When Hal pulls in, it’s definitely time to get on the water. Three Rivers Rafting starts their guide trips this weekend too, so blow up the boats, start up the buses, gather your courage, ‘cause the mighty Lochsa is on the rise!

The bear hunters have had good luck again this season and spring is in the air all along the river.

I get my info from Tony Ponzinni from Sysco; he says in the next few weeks a drive upriver will give you several choices to wine and dine!

It’s a fun time of year.
