Kamiah VFW

On Sunday, April 12, the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Lyons-Dahl Post #5407 of Kamiah presented their annual sausage breakfast fund-raiser at the post home in Kamiah.

The pork sausage is purchased from the Clearwater IOOF Lodge when they are preparing for their annual Ground Hog Feed in February. The rest of the menu, i.e. eggs, beverages, etc., are donated by the auxiliary and post members.

The proceeds from this annual activity go towards the continuing upgrading and renewal process that the VFW post building requires. One of the near future projects is new flooring in the dining room. The auxiliary also assists other community-based groups by financial donations when possible.

The Ladies Auxiliary and Post members want to express their deepest appreciation for the turnout on Sunday – more than 125 adults and children came to breakfast with us, making it one of the best “sausage breakfasts” we have had.
