Chief of Forest Service Tom Tidwell and his legislative colleagues indicate they are interested in close collaboration managing the people’s forests. There is definite collaboration to trade the people’s public lands away. This is included in how legislators in Washington, D.C. have voted to trade Forest Service managed lands to states with all Republican senators but two voting to give these lands to the states.
All Democrat legislators voted no to giving away public lands to each state when all the people own these lands.
The Republicans have an obsession with three issues, and they are unanimous on each of these issues which are: Trading public lands away, denying global warming and calling Social Security an entitlement when not one dollar of public money is paid into Social Security.
What is next on the Republican agenda: Is it requiring each state to control its own military and not the federal government as a whole? When in a conflict, each state would control military personnel within its boundaries and decide what they do.
Some 97 percent of experts say that modern day global warming is caused by humans but apparently that is not enough for Republican lawmakers.
I had to correct Senator Crapo in a recent meeting in Peck when he referred to Social Security as an “entitlement.” He seemed puzzled when I corrected him. How can this be, a national legislator doesn’t know what an entitlement is? And he expects your vote in 2016.
