Recent logging activity on the Adams Stew Timber Sale.
As of Tuesday, December 8, 2015
Traveler caution is advised on Road 221 due to ongoing timber harvest activity.
Idaho Forest Group (IFG) is helicopter and conventional logging on the Adams Stew Timber Sale, all within a few miles of the Adams Camp Work Center on the Salmon River Ranger District. IFG plans to log most of the winter, unless snow depth halts activities.
Grangeville-Salmon Road 221 is plowed to mile marker 33. The snowmobile parking lot on the east side of 221 is plowed as well. The rock pit on the west side of 221 is being used for helicopter landing during timber sale activities, and is not to be used by the public.
Travelers are asked to use caution traveling Road 21 and all forest roads as conditions are changing daily.
