Lighted parade in Cottonwood is set for Dec. 13

COTTONWOOD — The Lighted Christmas Parade will be held Sunday, Dec. 13, 5 p.m.

Concerts set for Dec. 15, 16

COTTONWOOD — Prairie Elementary School’s Christmas concert is set for Dec. 15, 1:30 p.m., in the PES gym. Prairie Jr. Sr. High School’s Christmas concert is set for Dec. 16, 7 p.m., in the PHS gym.

Elk City School program to be held Dec. 14

ELK CITY – The Elk City School winter program will be Monday, Dec. 14, 5 p.m., beginning with a potluck. The Reach Club will be providing the meat and potatoes and the community is asked to bring a side dish or desserts. The kids’ program will follow dinner and Santa will visit afterwards.

CV holiday fair set for Dec. 12

KOOSKIA – The fifth annual Clearwater Valley High School 2016 Senior Parents Holiday Craft Fair is set for Saturday, Dec. 12, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the CVHS cafeteria.

Proceeds from the event will go toward Senior Class Safe and Sober Night 2016. Lunch, door prizes and Krispy Crème donuts will all be part of the day. To reserve a space contact Matti at 451-4723 or e-mail

GHS hosts financial aid night Dec. 9

GRANGEVILLE — Grangeville High School will be hosting a financial aid night Wednesday, Dec. 9, in the GHS library, 6 p.m. Courtney Robinson from Lewis Clark State College will be giving a generic presentation on the different types of financial aid and how to fill out the forms. There will be literature available that evening, and Robinson will be on hand to answer questions after the presentation. Call 983-0580 with questions; everyone is welcome to attend.

Hospice Tree of Lights set for Sunday

GRANGEVILLE — The staff and volunteers of the Syringa Hospital Hospice program invite the public to the “Tree of Lights” memorial service Sunday, Dec. 13, 2 p.m., at the Soltman Center. The Candlelight Service will include a memorial service for loved ones, music and poems.

Community program set for Harpster Dec. 13

HARPSTER — The Harpster Community Christmas program is set for Sunday, Dec. 13, 3 p.m., at the Harpster Community Building. Everyone is invited. Santa will visit and treats will be available.

Grangeville Christmas concert is Dec. 17

GRANGEVILLE — The middle school choir and band will perform with the Grangeville High School choirs and band Thursday, Dec. 17, 7 p.m., at Grangeville High School.

Kids’ Christmas sale is Saturday

GRANGEVILLE — The annual Kids Christmas Sale will be held Saturday, Dec. 12, at the Eagles Hall on C Street, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., for children 4-12. Coffee and cookies will be available to parents while their kids shop and have their items wrapped.

Riggins school concert to be held Dec. 16

RIGGINS — Riggins Elementary School Christmas program will be held in the SRHS multipurpose room Wednesday, Dec. 16, 7 p.m.

Old Opera House Christmas shows scheduled Dec. 18, 19

KOOSKIA — The Old Opera House Old-Fashioned Christmas and Variety Show is set for Friday, Dec. 18, and Saturday, Dec. 19, 7:30 p.m. each evening. Tickets, at $12 per person, can be reserved by calling Graves GreenThumb Nursery at 926-0094.

White Bird Christmas parade is Dec. 19

WHITE BIRD — The Lighted Christmas Parade and Christmas Family Dance (fun for the entire family) will be held Saturday, Dec. 19. Parade lineup is at 6 p.m., on the U.S. Highway 95 pull-off into White Bird.

The parade will start down the hill and enter White Bird at 7 p.m., go up the street to the new White Bird Area Recreation District (former elementary school) and return down through town.

Chili, cornbread and hot cocoa will be served at the park and a bonfire will be held with Santa visiting. Contact Carrie Marek to join the parade, 507-2120.

After the parade (and new this year), a Christmas family dance will be held at the IOOF Hall.

Clearwater Meal Center luncheon set for Dec. 16

CLEARWATER – The Clearwater Meal Center’s next luncheon is set for Wednesday, Dec. 16, noon. Meals are served the first and third Wednesdays of each month at the Clearwater Baptist Church. No charge for the luncheon, $5 donation appreciated when possible. All are welcome. Call 926-7776.

KOOSKIA — Clearwater Valley Junior Senior High School concert is Wednesday, Dec. 16, 7 p.m., in the CVHS cafeteria. Clearwater Valley Elementary School will host its Christmas concert Dec. 17, 1:30 p.m.
