GRANGEVILLE Citations are pending following a Dec. 4 single-vehicle accident on the Grangeville truck route that caused minor injuries for a Harpster woman.
Jolee Zephier, 52, was transported to Syringa Hospital, complaining of neck, back and leg pains. She was wearing a seat belt.
The accident was reported at 3:30 a.m. approximately 60 feet east of the North D Street intersection, according to an Idaho County Sheriff’s Office (ICSO) report. Zephier was driving a 2010 Nissan Rog eastbound when she drifted across the road and off the north side, down an embankment and across a drainage ditch into a plowed field. Zephier continued to drive the vehicle another 300 feet until stopping when the Nissan suffered a flat tire. Zephier walked from the scene to the sheriff’s office to report the accident.
Factors believed contributing to the accident were fatigue/drowsiness and possible drug impairment.
ICSO Deputy Mike Chelbowski investigated the accident.
