The Riggins Secret Santa Program headed up by Michelle Simpson this year wishes to thank our Salmon River Community for helping make Christmas more joyous for kids and families. Gifts were given for 40 kids and teens; food for Christmas was provided to 20 families. Said Michelle, “Enjoying the view of Rapid River waking up this morning. Thinking about all the time and energy so many Canyonites gave to make the Riggins Secret Santa Program a success this year! We live in a special place surrounded by amazing humans. Enjoy each other’s company. Say hi to someone you have yet to connect with. Embrace the Christmas Spirit and, remember, Jesus is the reason.”

The Salmon River Seniors raffle fund-raiser, a Samsung Galaxy 7” tablet, was won by Martha Stolberg. The Salmon River Seniors want to thank all of those who participated in the raffle. The funds raised are to help buy new tires for the Salmon River transit bus and other senior programs.
