Ray and Kay Payton’s friends and neighbors are helping raise some funds for Ray and Kay in this time of need with medical expenses for Kay. Will you join in helping raise those funds by donating as well as spreading the word throughout Riggins, Idaho County, State of Idaho, and throughout the entire law enforcement community as we seek to raise a minimum of $12,000 to help them through this difficult time. Ray and Kay actually have an account in Riggins at the Pine Tree Credit Union… if you would like to make a deposit; you are sure welcome to do that. If you would like to send a card filled with encouragement, their Texas address is Ray and Kay Payton, Hope Cancer Retreat, 26904 Brentwood Rd. Splendora, TX 77372.

Karen Smith “Smitty” was the winner of the Pinehurst Quilters’ quilt made especially for the benefit for Charity Eckwortzel’s medical expenses that was displayed at the Pine Tree Credit Union. She was so happy that she went to Idaho Banana Company and got a bouquet of flowers that they had on display at the Pine Tree. Pinehurst quilting ladies said, “Wow, we never got this kind of thank you before; how neat is this! Thank you, too, to Mary Lou, for the beautiful arrangement. Karen’s thank you reads as follows: “Thank you to all the wonderful and talented Pinehurst Quilters ladies for the gorgeous quilt you raffled for the benefit of Charity and that was on display at the Pine Tree Credit Union. Hope these flowers can express just a little of my thanks to all.”
